VESUVIANITE / IDOCRASE / VESUVIANITE, stone of luck

VESUVIANITE / IDOCRASE STONE PROPERTIES, CALMING STONE - HAPPINESS

belongs to the group of minerals that have a strong attraction. They possess powerful energies that bring desirable qualities, possibilities, and states into our lives, but be careful here: they will not attract to us what “we think we want” or what others advise us is good for us. They will bring into our lives matters that truly resonate with our own vibrations and with our essence. And only those that we are just at that moment ready for. Sometimes that “wish” can even be unconscious. Sometimes a change may come that is consciously unwanted and unsolicited at first, but we somehow sense it.., that something new, something different, something that will move us forward, "must" come.

  • this remarkable stone possesses very strong vibrations and is also a good companion for meditation, in which we can likewise enter our subconscious and open ourselves to new possibilities
  • it positively affects all chakras and helps during meditation
  • its green color predisposes it mainly for work on the heart chakra and solar plexus, however, it can also be applied to other (upper) chakras; it works with us on a subtle level
  • it helps separate the important from the unimportant, anchors what is essential, supports letting go of the old and opening up to the new, and focusing on the present.

HISTORY AND TRADITION

Vesuvia got its name from the famous Italian volcano Vesuvius. It was first described in her case – specifically in 1759 by the German mineralogist A. G. Werner. It was discovered in embedded blocks or near the lava flows on Vesuvius.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES

Vesuvianite typically forms in metamorphic rock environments under high-temperature and pressure conditions in the Earth's crust. It often occurs as elongated prismatic crystals or granular aggregates. The mineral has medium to high hardness, ranging from 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale, and exhibits a vitreous to resinous luster.

Vesuvianite is a geologically and mineralogically interesting mineral and is occasionally used as a gemstone in jewelry. It is valued for its various colors and crystalline forms, making it a sought-after specimen for mineral collectors. In addition, in the realm of metaphysical beliefs and alternative medicine, vesuvianite is considered to have healing and balancing properties, such as supporting creativity and self-worth.
