HISTORY AND TRADITION

The gemstone was first mentioned in 1792, when the first specimen of euclase was brought to Europe from South America. After 7 years, scientist Rene Just Gayuy embarked on the study of the mineral. In 1858, Nikolai Koksharov found a large gemstone in Russia on the southern slope of the Urals. 
The discovery of this stone led to the search by explorers, scientists, and collectors. At the beginning of the First World War, only 25 pieces were found. Many images are stored in private collections and museums.
