Despite the fact that pyrite fights depression and mental disorders, it is absolutely contraindicated for people with a high emotional threshold, those who are too temperamental and vulnerable, as it may enhance these traits
CLEANING AND CHARGING
- Pyrite is very sensitive to cosmetics and sweat; it is not suitable to wear it continuously or for long periods directly on the body. It is also very sensitive to high temperatures and water. We therefore cleanse it only through the power of thought and visualization, or alternatively over a candle flame.
- charging pyrite is relatively simple. Just place it in sunlight or moonlight for a few hours. After such cleaning, pyrite can be effectively used again
The main advice for preserving the stone’s original appearance is to coat the new, washed, dried product or insert with a clear varnish. Then the jewelry will be able to delight the eye for longer.Even with very careful care, pyrite will lose its appearance over time and may even crumble.Collectors are advised to store pyrite specimens in a vacuum, and for those who cannot afford it - at least simply boil them in paraffin.

It is capable of protecting, giving physical and mental strength, awakening courage and perseverance, and helping with important decisions.
To experience the magic of the mineral, you must have pure thoughts and good intentions. The slightest falsehood or evil pyrite will turn against its owner.

- Although pyrite has been famous since ancient times as a male talisman that gives a person purely masculine traits, this nugget is nevertheless useful for the weaker half of humanity. A woman will appear more attractive in the eyes of the opposite sex when she has such a talisman. And for married ladies, the stone will help revive faded passion and restore former freshness to the relationship.
- Practicing magicians use the stone as an energy regenerator after magical sessions and, with its help, make deals with evil spirits.

ZODIAC SIGNS
In astrology, pyrite is considered the patron of the fire element.
- This nugget most strongly supports Aries and Leos. Representatives of this sign who take an active position in life will preserve and increase their energy. Such people with this talisman will gain self-confidence, determination, faith in success, and overcome all obstacles.
- Scorpios and Sagittarians can also count on the favor of pyrite. Nugetka will endow these signs with physical and emotional strength, endurance, protection on long journeys, and bring good luck when traveling.
- Gemini will receive the magical help of pyrite in the sphere of services - in the near future, it will help them move up the career ladder.
The other zodiac signs will not feel the power of the fiery stone within themselves. Pyrite is very powerful and also demanding. It is a stone of iron will, capable not only of giving strength, but also of taking it away and leaving a person energetically exhausted, slow, and sad.
The pyrite crystal can pose the greatest danger to signs associated with the water element.
- The stone is capable of causing Cancer special damage and life energy damage, therefore it is better for people born under this constellation to avoid such a talisman altogether.
An interesting fact is that pyrite is sponsored by two planets of the solar system at once - Neptune and Mars. According to astrologers, this is precisely what gives the stone incredible energy as well as the magical ability to influence the life events of many people.
Pyrite occupies a special place in the Chinese teaching of Feng Shui. These people use the unique abilities of the stone to attract prosperity, family happiness, financial prosperity, and good fortune into the home. All kinds of figurines, coins, and other figurines are made from the mineral.
To protect the house from evil forces, such decor is placed at the entrance, and to attract money - in the southeast zone of a residential building or office. A pyrite Chinese coin placed in a handbag or wallet helps solve many problems, attract finances, and boosts confidence.
SITE
A unique property of pyrite is that it is mined simultaneously with other, more valuable metals - cobalt, copper, or zinc. Deposits are found all over the world, so there is no need to carry out separate costly mining - the mineral is found wherever pyrite ore occurs.
The largest deposits are located in the United States, Russia, and Sweden. Extraction is also carried out in Azerbaijan, Norway, and Spain. Only Italy, however, supplies precious specimens that jewelers all over the planet love.
HISTORY AND TRADITION
- Another historically known name for pyrite is “fool’s gold”. Due to its external resemblance to the precious metal, it was often mistakenly considered gold.
- The stone's history also mentions another name for it: “Inca gold,” “cat’s gold,” sulfur pyrite, or iron pyrite.
The Greeks gave it a name, and that brought the Spaniards and Americans a lot of trouble - translated from their language, pyrite means "carving of fire". This name perfectly captures its characteristics - the nugget truly has a golden, fiery color. With its help, ancient people carved out sparks to ignite a flame.
- The greed of the Spanish conquerors played a cruel trick on them - they took the mined rock from the inhabitants of the American continent even before Columbus discovered it, hoping to become rich. However, when they brought this mineral back to their homeland, it turned out they were fools, because more experienced gold prospectors mocked them.
- The chain of references reaches back to antiquity, beginning with the ancient Greeks, who attributed an indescribable protective power for men to the stone and considered it a symbol of Ares - the god of war. Every warrior carried a protective crystal. It was believed that this amulet had incredible power, both physical and sexual. Greek men believed that the stone gave them determination, fearlessness, and protected them from death.
Since ancient Egypt, pyrite has been used as a mirror and also as an ornamental stone. - Hindus believed that a pyrite amulet worn around the neck protects against crocodile attacks.
- Medieval Europeans made all kinds of jewelry from flint - bracelets, watches, shoe buckles. However, these objects were not very pleasing to look at, because under the influence of moisture, pyrite quickly oxidizes and loses its attractiveness. Noble ladies of the Napoleonic era proudly wore jewelry with pyrite inlay. The fact is that it was customary to donate jewelry to the needs of the French army. In return, the women received a pebble of pyrite, which they later liked to show off, boasting of their generosity and participation in charity.
- An interesting story is described in the chronicles of the Swedish town of Falun. In the old mine, miners found the remains of a miner who had died long ago. It seems that there is nothing strange about it, except that the body was petrified. At that time, people devoutly believed in the existence of all evil spirits, so they took it as tricks of dwarves or trolls. Many years later, scientists found a simple explanation for this phenomenon - in the right environment, minerals such as pyrite completely displace organic matter and replace it with themselves. The body of the Falun miner is a prime example of this.
- At the beginning of the twentieth century, inlays were made from raw minerals, which were perfectly combined with other gemstones, and now pyrite is also popular thanks to its bright appearance and low price.
Just like the ancient Egyptians, we also use pyrite for decorative purposes. Grinding increases its shine. But be careful with cosmetics and sweat. Pyrite is sensitive to them.
The name of the stone comes from "pyrites lithos," which means "stone that sparks". The reason for this name is the fact that when it strikes pyrite or iron, the stone sparks. That is why it was also used in the past to start fires.
The meaning of pyrite symbolizes masculine energy, that burning cauldron of passion that exists deep within the solar plexus chakra.A pyrite crystal, which harnesses masculine energy, is a symbol of abundance and prosperity, making it a great addition to your office or workspace.Look at the stone and remember your intention and the powerful healing properties of pyrite.Whether it’s about increasing concentration or simply boosting energy, the meaning of the pyrite crystal gives you the strength and determination you need to face any challenge.
Pyrite in its crystalline form also has two other interesting characteristics: the breathtaking cubic arrangement of its crystals and the ability, like a mirror, to reflect an image.
The Central American Aztecs polished pyrite into highly prized mirrors at that time, which they used during shamanic rituals as portals to other dimensions, and through which they spoke to their ancestors.
