BRUCITE / TALCHYDRITE / HYDROPHYLITE, life direction – determination – change – inner strength

TO SHARPEN THE STONE'S ABILITIES, IT INFLUENCES A PERSON'S FATE - SUCCESS - PROSPERITY

Magically, the mineral is very powerful.

  • strengthens clarity of thought, intellectual abilities, and facilitates the perception of large flows of information
  • attracts success and financial prosperity,
  • helps gain a positive attitude toward life
  • brings a surge of strength to overcome life’s difficulties and spiritual conflicts
  • develops intuition,
  • clairvoyant abilities
  • a person becomes wiser, enabling them to respond soberly to mistakes and learn from them

There are times when the owners of the mineral see prophetic dreams over time.

This occurs no earlier than one month after continuous contact with the talisman. To attract finances, move up the career ladder, or find additional sources of income, it is recommended to wear rings with the mineral.

HEALTH EFFECTS

lithotherapists recommend using the mineral in cases of:

  • neuroses, mental disorders, insomnia, depression,
  • manifestations of tachycardia,
  • when it is necessary to eliminate the consequences of a stroke,
  • headache,

The stone has a positive effect on a person's mental health and normalizes the emotional state. For nervous disorders, loss of strength, and depression, wearing pendants or bracelets helps. Sleep mode will adjust the rings, or the rings and earrings will help relieve a headache. Thanks to its sedative properties, brucite does not directly affect heart rate and returns the heartbeat back to normal.

CLEANING AND CHARGING

  • Brucite products require a special approach. T
  • Such items must be protected from direct sunlight, high humidity, dust, alkalis, acids, and any aggressive environment.
  • Small stone specimens, like jewelry, should ideally be stored in individual plastic bags wrapped in a soft cloth. Each product must have its own cardboard or plastic container or box. Large stones or decorative objects should be stored in glass, hermetically sealed cabinets.
  • Since water-based mastic is sensitive to sunlight and loses its shade, all products are stored in a place protected from the sun.

ZODIAC SIGNS

Astrologers identify several signs for which brucite will be especially beneficial. ("+++" - the stone fits perfectly, "+" - can be worn, "-" - absolutely contraindicated):

  • For those born under the signs of Capricorn and Sagittarius, it is undesirable to wear soapstone. These zodiac signs are energetically incompatible with the mineral.
  • The rest of the zodiac signs can safely choose bursitis as a talisman.

COLORS AND VARIETIES

Brucite is 70% magnesium mineral. This NuGet concerns those stones which, by their nature, benefit only humans. Brucite is only rarely used by jewelers, but other areas of human activity cannot do without this mineral.

Pure brucite is usually transparent or translucent, blue-eyed, white or greenish in color. When the main component of the mineral (magnesium) is partially replaced by manganese or iron, varieties of the mineral with excellent physical properties and colors are formed. There are several types of water talc:

  • Do not paint. Nougat with a fibrous structure. It comes in white, emerald, teal, cream, and even black.
  • Ferronemalite. It is a nemalite with an iron content of about 5%.
  • Manganbrusite. A rock with a high manganese content, brownish-yellow or reddish-brown in color. In air, it tends to oxidize, causing it to turn black.
  • Ferrobrusit. Stone containing up to 35% iron. Translucent white nugget. When oxidized, it becomes brown and opaque.

Varieties of soapstone differ not only in color and composition, but also in structure. Ferrobrucite often occurs in the form of fine flakes, which are often patterned. This creates a certain striped or mesh-like coloration. Manganbrusite is composed of thick-columned crystals.

SITE

Brucite is one of the common minerals. Stone reserves reach tens of thousands of tons. However, not every material is pure brucite. For example, in Russia, only one deposit supplies the market with pure gemstone material — the Kuldursky mine near Khabarovsk (Far East). The remaining mining sites are located in the Urals, the North Caucasus, and the Baikal region, but various types of minerals containing impurities occur there.

There are several large deposits of talchydrite of one kind or another in the world:

  • Decorative marble with a high brucite content is supplied by Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and also Pennsylvania in the USA.
  • Canada mines nemalite.
  • Italy is also known for its beautiful marble with brucite inclusions, where such rock is called "pencatite".

Nugget is mined in marbles in Korea, Japan, Zimbabwe, South Africa. Small deposits of nemalite are found in Quebec and Yugoslavia. The mineral was also found in the territory of Hungary.

HISTORY AND TRADITION

Brucite has several names that reflect its chemical and physical nature. This nugget is called talchydrite, hydrated talc, or hydrophyllite. Such names are given to the mineral because of its similarity to talc, as well as because of the water component, which makes up 30% of the stone's mass.

The mineral owes its most common name, "brucite," to its discoverer and his colleagues. In 1814, the American physicist Archibald Brus, who worked as a physicist at Yale University, discovered and described a new mineral, magnesium hydroxide. After his death in 1818, geologist George Gibbs proposed naming the newly discovered gemstone after his colleague and friend Bruce. Thus, as early as 1819, a new mineral called “brucite” appeared.

  • Did you know that Colonel George Gibbs was not a professional geologist, but an amateur? However, his mineralogical collection included dozens of nuggets and was known far beyond the borders of the United States. Among the specimens in this collection was, of course, brucite, and not just one, but several of its varieties.

Brucite forms in an alkaline environment under the influence of low temperatures. This mineral undergoes metamorphoses – a nugget can become carbonate or hydromagnesite. Pseudomorphs of dolomites are known

  • Today, the Ural deposits yield only one of the mineral's varieties - ferrobrucite. As late as the 19th century. However, in the century, crystals of pure brucite up to 3 cm long were found in the Urals; these deposits are now exhausted.
  • In 1983, nemalite suitable for the needs of jewelers was found in Canada. The length of the fibers of this nugget reached 1 meter.
  • Pale blue brucite was found on land in the Canadian province of Ontario near Bancroft and was cut. The processed crystals weighed about 4 carats.

Brucite is an important mineral for various industries. Talchydrite is used in areas such as:

  • metallurgy, construction, oil industry, water treatment, medicine, agriculture, cosmetology, jewelry industry, stonemasonry.
  • In the last two industries, brucite is the least in demand. This mineral is too soft, easily exposed to air and chemicals. However, that does not stop some masters - amber is cut into cabochons and used to complement jewelry.
  • And stonemasons love this mineral for its softness and pliability, so they carve various decorative items from it and cast boxes and other decorative objects in it. Very beautiful brucite marble. Masters use it as a decorative material, and builders use it as a cladding material.
  • Thanks to its high adsorption properties, brucite is useful in the production of cosmetic products. The mineral is also used in the production of decorative cosmetics - talc, foundation creams, eyeshadows, powder. In agriculture, talchydrite has found use in the preparation of irrigation solutions, plant fertilizers, and even feed.

Main use

The most important role of brucite is to become a magnesium ore for use in non-ferrous and ferrous metallurgy. Magnesium is an integral part of alloys used in the construction of aircraft and automobiles. The alkaline properties of brucite reduce the density of alloys, which means they make metals lighter. The production of cast iron also cannot do without magnesium oxide, which displaces sulfur from the melt.

In industry, dehydrated and calcined hydrophyllite is used in the production of refractory materials. This means that an ordinary brick becomes refractory precisely because of talhydrite. The production of concrete, cement, and roofing materials also takes place with the participation of hydrotalcite. The production of rubber polymer materials also requires brucite, as this mineral increases heat resistance.

In the oil and water treatment industry, brucite serves as a sorbent thanks to its ability to attract various substances. Talchydrite is used to purify petroleum products and water from harmful impurities.

The electronics industry needs corundum as an abrasive. Fine magnesium oxide powder handles cleaning and polishing the surfaces of various parts perfectly.

The magnesium component of brucite is known to doctors as magnesia. It is obtained by calcining the mineral. The properties of this medicine are versatile; however, its main application is the neutralization of stomach acids and the relaxation of smooth muscle. This makes magnesia an indispensable medicine for pregnant women with a threatened miscarriage. Magnesium is also used in the production of vitamin complexes and dietary supplements.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES

Brucite has a layered structure and practically does not form crystals. Typical brucite deposits are solid masses, outwardly similar to gypsum.
