SITE
Shattuckite is a blue transparent or translucent gemstone. Copper makes it bright blue, but the color can also be greenish. In nature, these occur as needle-like crystals or agglomerates-pellets (spherulites). There is a misconception that it is chrysocolla. Also confused blue jadeite and shattuckite. They are indeed very similar, but they are three independent minerals.
Deposits of this amazing mineral have been discovered in Britain, Austria, Germany, Norway, Namibia, South Africa, and the USA
At the end of the twentieth century, it was found in Greece, Congo, and Mexico. Unfortunately, nothing is known about the other bearings. Given that the mineral is very beautiful and unusual, its extraction quickly depletes the mines, and finding new locations is not so easy.
HISTORY AND TRADITION
Shattuckite is one of the “youngest” stones: the first specimens were discovered in 1915. And its homeland is the American state of Arizona. Here, in the Shattuck mine, it was discovered by the local mineralogist Schaller. The scientist examined the stone, described its properties, and came up with a name for the place of discovery.
This magnificent gemstone deserves a distinct place among the many stones that are useful to humans. It is called the stone of wisdom, connection, and truth.

Shattuckite is rarely counterfeited; much more often, under the guise of this stone, you may end up buying turquoise or chrysocolla. They look similar, but you can tell one gem from another:
Replacing one natural stone with another is not outright fraud. Only shattukites are rarer and more expensive.
